STUDENT NOTE CARDS
STUDENT GENERATED NOTE CARDS NOW AVAILABLE!
Some of our very talented students have used their artistic skills to create a beautiful set of notecards. The artwork on the cards was produced in their after-school photography class with guidance from teacher volunter Courtney Flavin. The art is done through a scanning process. We think you'll agree that the colors are vibrant and lively. All proceeds from the sale of these dazzling card sets go to support all of the innovative programs LA Leadership has to offer. These sets make great gifts too!! Please take a look for yourself by clicking on the sample notecard directly to the right of this article. Thank you for your support.

A very special surprise was bestowed upon those present at the Annual Dinner on September 28th at USC. Roger Lowenstein, Executive Director of the school, announced that The Willliam C. Bannerman Foundation has agreed to match $250,000 of the event proceeds. These funds will kick off our capital campaign for our own high school site. We are very grateful to Elliot Ponchick and the Foundation for their support.

Welcome to the Los Angeles Leadership Academy
Welcome to the redesigned internet presence for the Los Angeles Leadership Academy.
The Academy is a Los Angeles Unified School District charter school located in Koreatown. Our current site, located here, helps provide some basic description of the school's premise and mission; however, here is a quick description of LALA in digest form:
L.A. Leadership Academy is a new charter school was founded out of an urgent need to address persistent social injustice. The Academy's educational vision is premised on the idea that students are more likely to become such young leaders if they use their minds well, are well-developed emotionally, socially, and ethically, and take action to address important social issues.
